At Lee Air Conditioning we specialise in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).
We design and install a wide range of heating systems from large commercial systems to conventional domestic heating.
We are Gas Safe Certified.
- Central Heating
- Underfloor Heating
- Hot water generation
Combi Boilers supply heating and hot water on demand often chosen as they are energy efficient and need less space than other systems.
System Boilers need a hot water tank to store the water to provide a good supply of hot water for larger buildings or homes with multiple bathrooms.
Conventional Boilers need more space as they require a hot water tank and a cold-water tank, it may be worth considering if the building has low water pressure.
Wet underfloor heating uses water recirculating through pipes in a closed loop between the floor and boiler. This can be powered by gas, oil, heat pump or a combination of biofuels and solar.
Electric underfloor heating is laid directly under the finished floor and uses flexible heating elements sometimes on a mesh mat which is easy to lay.
Solar Hot Water Systems
Solar hot water system also known as solar thermal is a renewable energy source, it can be used with a conventional boiler or immersion heater for when solar energy is not available or requires topping up. Solar panels called collectors filled with water and glycol absorb heat from the sun and use it to heat up stored water in a hot water tank. There are two types of panels, evacuated tubes which is a bank of glass tubes mounted on the roof tiles or a flat plate collector which can be fixed onto roof tiles or integrated into the roof. Larger panels can be used, and they may be able to contribute towards heating but generally the amount of heat is very little.
Air Source Heat Pump
An air source heat pump takes heat from the air and boosts it to a higher temperature using a compressor and then transfer the heat into the heating system. The pump uses electricity to run but should be less electrical energy than the heat it produces.
Hot Water Generation
Hot water generation can be achieved through direct fired gas heaters as well as boilers.
